Michael L. Carrier Golf Tournament
Cancelled Due to Covid
We hope to see you next April!
We are sad to announce that the 8th Annual Michael L. Carrier Golf Tournament has been cancelled this year due to COVID. We hope to see you all next year!
Congratulations to our 2020 Carrier Scholar, Allison Bailey! Allison will be attending Eastern Mennonite University to study nursing. This is the fifth scholarship we have presented in four years and we hope to continue the tradition of helping local students further there education at the collegiate level for many years to come!
Our 2019 Michael L. Carrier Golf Tournament had great success. Total revenue from donations in 2019 was over $30,000! After expenses, The First Tee achieved a net income of over $26,000! Please help us to exceed last year’s donation total!
We will again be awarding $1,000 Michael L. Carrier Scholarships to local high school seniors. With the success of our tournaments through the years and our partnership with The First Tee of Harrisonburg, the Carrier Family established the Michael L. Carrier Scholarship as a way to give back to the community and to help students who exemplifies the Nine Core Values that The First Tee promotes: honesty, integrity, respect, sportsmanship, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy and judgement. These values represent some of the many inherently positive characteristics connected with the game of golf and life. For more information about the scholarship, click here
On behalf of the Carrier family, we would like to thank you for your participation, your donations, and we are so grateful for your continued support of the Michael L. Carrier Golf Tournament. We look forward to seeing you on our new date for the tournament.
