Ethan Callis

Ethan graduated from James Madison University in 2024 with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management. Since joining The First Tee of Shenandoah Valley as an intern, he has steadily advanced through multiple leadership roles within the organization, serving as Lead Coach, Head Program Coordinator, and now Program Director. 

Throughout his time with First Tee, Ethan has been dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that help young people develop confidence, character, and life skills through the game of golf. His experience across coaching, program operations, community outreach, and event management has helped strengthen the organization’s impact throughout the Shenandoah Valley. 

As Program Director, Ethan is focused on continuing the growth of First Tee’s presence across the region by expanding school-based programming, increasing teen retention rate, and creating stronger player development pathways for participants of all skill levels. He is passionate about building partnerships and opportunities that allow more young people to experience the positive impact of the game both on and off the course.
